How Professional Leak Detection Works

Finding the leak before touching the concrete

Guesswork is expensive. Professional detection is about narrowing a whole house down to a few inches of pipe before anything gets opened up.

Our process

  • Isolate the system. We shut off sections of plumbing and watch the meter to confirm the leak is on the water line and figure out which side.
  • Pressurize and listen. Acoustic listening gear amplifies the sound of water escaping through concrete, soil, and tile.
  • Trace the line. Pipe tracing and thermal readings map exactly where the line runs and where the temperature changes.
  • Mark the spot. We mark the location, explain what we found, and quote the repair before starting.

Why it matters in North Metro Atlanta

Red clay soil, shifting foundations, and older copper lines make slab leaks common around Woodstock, Cumming, Alpharetta, and Johns Creek. Accurate location keeps the repair small and the restoration simple.
